Inpeak Rechargeable Powercrank-E Shimano Dura-Ace R9200

The Inpeak Rechargeable Powercrank-E Shimano Dura-Ace FC-R9200 is a single-sided power meter with an integrated rechargeable battery for high-end road bikes. It suits riders who use their race bike regularly and want a clean setup without battery changes. Measurement happens on the left crank arm. This keeps the system light and discreet. For riders with a clear routine, this is often the most comfortable solution.

Strengths and weaknesses

  • Integrated rechargeable battery instead of battery changes.
  • Up to 90 hours runtime.
  • Compatible with Shimano Hollowtech II road cranks.
  • Integrated cadence measurement.
  • Only 10 g added weight.
  • ANT+ and Bluetooth LE.
  • Automatic temperature compensation.
  • IP67 protection.
  • Left-side measurement only.
  • Battery must be charged regularly.
  • TL-FC16 tool required for installation.

Who the rechargeable version suits

This model suits riders who use the bike often and do not mind fixed charging cycles. If you already charge devices regularly, the power meter hardly adds effort. You do not need to replace batteries and the whole setup stays very clean. For regular training and racing, this often feels good in daily use.

Rechargeable or battery

The battery version is often better for travel, rarely used bikes and maximum independence. The rechargeable version is often more pleasant if you ride the bike frequently. The key difference is not the measurement itself, but daily use. That is usually where the better choice becomes clear.

Compatibility and installation

The power meter fits Shimano Hollowtech II road cranks. The housing sits on the inside of the left crank arm. Around 10 mm of frame clearance should be available in the power meter area. For installation you need the Shimano TL-FC16 tool. You can find more matching models in our Inpeak category.

Single-sided measurement in practice

The power meter measures only the left leg and doubles the value for total power. In practice this is enough for intervals, race pacing and load control. If you want very exact balance data, you need a dual-sided system. For many riders, that brings little real benefit in everyday use.

Connectivity and daily use

The power meter sends power and cadence via ANT+ and Bluetooth LE. The battery charges via USB. Automatic temperature compensation helps keep readings stable in changing temperatures. You install firmware updates wirelessly through the Inpeak app.

Alternative systems

If you want a similar Shimano crank-arm power meter, you can also browse our 4iiii category. Both systems are built around a similar idea. In our experience, Inpeak power meters are more robust and come back less often as complaints.

If you prefer a pedal-based system, you can also browse our Favero Assioma category.
