When the power meter newbie "Favero Electronics" came up with the bePRO pedal power meter in mid 2015 we were quite skeptical at first. Measuring force at the pedal spindle may seem easy, but it isn't. Many variables make it hard to get satisfactory results. But they did well and now even raised the bar with the successor, the Assioma power meter pedal.
We tested many units on a calibrated Cyclus II ergometer and after our experience with the bePROs we weren't surprised to see the Assioma system working flawlessly and accurately.
In daily use the Assiomas are sturdy and shine with a solid performance. The electronics are sealed watertight. A big advantage for weight weenies: the Assioma power meter weighs only 299g for both pedals and is much lighter than its competitors (Garmin Vector 3: 316g; Powertap P1: 412g).
The Assioma power meter is available as a dual (Assioma Duo) or a single system (Assioma Uno). Favero also offers the option of upgrading the single-sensing system to a complete dual-sensing system. You simple need a add another pedal with a power sensor.
