The all new SRM PC8 is now compatible with all ANT+ power meters. As its predecessors the PC8 is reduced to addition to the need of the athletes and does not come with usless gimmicks.
The PC8 also features GPS (for recording). The backlight as well as the GPS can be turned off in order to prolong battery lifeup to 45 hours. With a storage capacity of 500 MB, the PC8 has the ability to record about 4,000 hours of training. A built-in motion sensor turns the PC8 on automatically when riding.
Since many users have several bikes with power meters, it is now possible to define four bicycle profiles and select the respective before departure. The previously necessary pairing before departure is not required any more.
The displayi is user configurable. The shell is made of anodized aluminum, which is available in three standard colors: red, black and titanium. You can also choose your favorite color of the RAL color chart and this anodized or lacquered.
The charging and data transfer works via magnetic plug. The data is stored as a .fit file and can be evaluated with various training software tools (eg. Golden Cheetah, Strava, Training Peaks).
