The Favero Assioma DUO is a dual-sided pedal power meter for road cyclists and triathletes who want to measure left and right leg power separately. Unlike single-sided systems, the DUO does not just provide total power output, but also meaningful data on left-right balance and pedaling dynamics.

Within the current Favero range, the Assioma DUO is not the newest road platform, but it remains a technically mature and proven solution. If you already ride the Look KEO system and want a reliable dual-sided power meter, the DUO is still a very logical choice.

If you want to stay with Look KEO but move to the newer PRO platform, the Assioma PRO RL-2 is the more suitable alternative. If you are looking for a road power meter for Shimano SPD-SL instead, the Assioma PRO RS-2 is the more logical option. For gravel, cyclocross and MTB with Shimano SPD, the Assioma PRO MX-2 is clearly the more suitable off-road version.

Who is the Assioma DUO for?

The Assioma DUO is aimed at riders who take training seriously and want more than just a watt value. It is especially useful for structured training plans, performance analysis, pedaling analysis and monitoring imbalances, because dual-sided measurement is clearly more informative than single-sided estimation.

Its biggest practical advantage remains the simple installation. The power meter is mounted like a regular pedal, so it can be moved quickly between multiple bikes without touching the crank, spider or bottom bracket.

Assioma DUO within the Favero range

The Assioma DUO is the classic dual-sided Assioma option for road use with a Look KEO compatible pedal system. Its position within the range is clear: proven dual-sided power measurement for riders who want to stay with Look KEO and do not want a single-sided entry-level model.

The Assioma PRO RS-2 is aimed at riders who prefer Shimano SPD-SL and want the newer PRO platform. The Assioma PRO RL-2 is the more modern Look KEO alternative within the PRO series, while the Assioma PRO MX-2 is designed for gravel, cyclocross and MTB with Shimano SPD.

Dual-sided power measurement

On the Assioma DUO, both pedals are equipped with sensors. This means power is measured separately for the left and right leg, instead of being estimated from one side only.

This is especially useful for ambitious riders, for structured training, after injury breaks or whenever left-right data and pedaling balance really matter. If you only want an affordable entry into power-based training, a single-sided system is often the more economical choice.

Compatible bike computers and smartphones

The Assioma DUO transmits data via ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart. This makes it compatible with common bike computers from Garmin, Wahoo, Sigma, SRM and many other brands, as well as smartphones and a wide range of training apps.

Compatible bikes and cleats

The Assioma DUO is based on the Look KEO standard and is used with Look KEO compatible cleats. Technically, the system fits bikes with a standard pedal thread, but in practice it is primarily intended for road bike and triathlon setups.

Construction and weight

The Assioma DUO has been an established road pedal power meter for years. The official weight is 151.5 g per pedal including the battery. This makes it heavier than the current PRO road series, but still attractive for a dual-sided power meter pedal.

Battery life and charging

The integrated lithium-ion battery offers at least 50 hours of runtime. Charging is done directly on the installed pedal via magnetic connectors. This is practical if the power meter is regularly moved between multiple bikes.

Accuracy and measurement system

Favero uses the IAV Power System on the Assioma DUO with integrated measurement of instantaneous angular velocity. Together with the built-in gyroscope, this ensures high accuracy of ± 1% even with oval chainrings and non-uniform pedaling.
