Assioma PRO RS-1 SPD-SL Power Meter

The Assioma PRO RS-1 is Favero's lightest power meter pedal for road cycling – precise, robust, and fully compatible with Shimano SPD-SL cleats. Power is measured on the left pedal only, while the right pedal contains no sensors – ideal for ambitious beginners or riders on a budget. Weighing just 123.5 g per pedal, the PRO RS-1 delivers maximum performance with minimal weight. The sealed sensor unit is integrated into the durable axle, independent from the pedal body – ensuring long service life and easy maintenance.

Thanks to its modular design, the pedal body can be replaced if needed – for example, for off-road use. The proven technology of the PRO RS-2 is used here in a streamlined form – for accurate watt data, ease of use, and full compatibility with your existing Shimano cleats.

Differences between PRO RS-1, PRO MX-1 and Assioma UNO

Single-Sided Measurement

The Assioma PRO RS-1 measures power on the left pedal only. This data is transmitted via ANT+ as a doubled signal, so compatible bike computers display “virtual” dual-sided power. The data is highly precise (±1%) and includes advanced metrics like cadence and Pedal Center Offset (PCO).

The Assioma PRO RS-1 is especially well-suited for beginners or riders on a budget who can accept a small compromise in precision. Riders seeking maximum accuracy and detailed pedal dynamics should opt for the dual-sided Assioma PRO RS-2.

Compatible Bike Computers and Smartphones

The PRO RS-1 transmits data via ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart. It is compatible with all popular bike computers (Garmin, Wahoo, Sigma, etc.) and with smartphones using the Favero Assioma App.

Compatible Bikes & Cleats

The PRO RS-1 is designed for use on road bikes. The included SPD-SL® compatible cleats fit shoes with the 3-bolt standard. Original Shimano® SM-SH10, SH-11, and SH-12 cleats are also fully compatible.

Construction & Weight

At just 123.5 g per pedal (including sensor and battery), the PRO RS-1 is one of the lightest power meters on the market. The ultra-low 10.5 mm stack height ensures efficient power transfer and a direct pedaling feel.

Battery Life & Charging

The integrated lithium-ion battery delivers over 60 hours of runtime. Charging is easy via magnetic connector – even with the pedals mounted. The package includes a USB cable and magnetic charger for the left pedal.

Modular Design

As with the RS-2, the pedal body of the RS-1 is removable. The sensor unit can later be reused with a different pedal body – e.g., for MTB. This extends product life and makes the RS-1 a versatile companion.

Precision & Dynamics

The IAV Power System ensures ±1% measurement accuracy – even with oval chainrings. An integrated gyroscope stabilizes the data, even during sprints or variable cadence.

Setup & Updates

Setup is done via the free Assioma App (iOS & Android). Firmware updates and adjustments like crank length can be made easily in the app.

Installation

Couldn’t be easier: the pedal installs in seconds using an 8 mm Allen key – no special tools required.

The sensor unit is fully enclosed and integrated into the axle – independent of the pedal body. This protects the electronics from water and dirt. Favero offers a 2-year warranty and expert support, including remote diagnostics via the app.
