Assioma PRO RL-2 Look Keo Power Meter

With the Favero Assioma PRO RL-2, Favero completes its PRO power meter series: Following the PRO MX for off-road use (Shimano SPD) and the PRO RS for road cycling with Shimano SPD-SL compatibility, the PRO RL is now available for all riders using the Look KEO cleat system. The result is a dual-sided power meter that, at just 130 g per pedal, is considered the lightest Look KEO-compatible power meter pedal on the market. All three PRO models share the same spindle – riders who want to switch between different cleat systems or riding disciplines simply swap the pedal body.

The PRO RL-2 is the successor to the Assioma DUO/UNO, as the measurement is now integrated into the pedal axle rather than an external pod.

Differences Between PRO RS-2, PRO MX-2 and Assioma PRO RL-2

The PRO MX-2, PRO RS-2 and PRO RL-2 are technically identical – they differ exclusively in the pedal body: SPD for MTB and gravel, SPD-SL for Shimano road bikes, Look KEO for all KEO-compatible systems. Since the pedal bodies can be swapped easily, a single power meter can be used across all three disciplines with the corresponding pedal body.

IAV Power Technology: Everything Inside the Axle

The Assioma PRO RL-2 uses Favero's IAV Power Technology (Integrated Angular Velocity), in which all electronics – strain gauges, gyroscope, battery and communication unit – are fully housed inside the axle. External pods or exposed components are eliminated entirely. The active temperature compensation continuously and automatically corrects for thermal influences; the auto-zero function calibrates the system without any manual input. This design is also fully sealed, permanently protecting the electronics from moisture and contamination.

Swappable Pedal Body: One Axle for Three Systems

All models in the Favero Assioma PRO series – MX, RS and RL – share identical spindles. The pedal body can be swapped without special tools, allowing a single set of spindles to be used for road cycling (Look KEO or SPD-SL) as well as gravel or MTB riding (SPD). A replacement pedal body is available for €138 per pair and is compatible with all three cleat types. The pedal body itself is made from carbon fibre-reinforced technopolymer, offering high stiffness at low weight.

Cycling Dynamics Including Platform Center Offset

The Assioma PRO RL-2 transmits the full Cycling Dynamics data set via ANT+. This includes Power Phase, Platform Center Offset (PCO), Torque Effectiveness, Pedal Smoothness and seated/standing time tracking. The PCO value is particularly relevant for bike fitting, as it provides insight into optimal cleat positioning. The data is processed and visualised by all major cycling computers (Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, COROS). Note: Cycling Dynamics are only available via ANT+ – not via Bluetooth Smart.

160-Hour Battery Life and USB-C Fast Charging

With the firmware update released in February 2026, Favero more than doubled the battery life of the entire PRO spindle range from 60 to 160 hours. In addition, the fast charge function delivers up to 15 hours of runtime after just 15 minutes of charging – practical when time is short before a long ride or race. The included dual USB-C charging cable allows both pedals to be charged simultaneously in a single step. The cable's wall connector is USB-A; a power adapter is not included.

Activation and Setup

Initial setup requires the free Favero app (iOS and Android). The app guides you through the activation process, crank length configuration and any available firmware update that unlocks the full 160-hour battery life. Once set up, the pedal pair is ready to use with any ANT+- or Bluetooth Smart-capable cycling computer or compatible sports watch.
